I'm going to Peru! I cannot wait, but first I would like to give a little history. It all started when I went on my first mission trip to Chile during my 8th grade year. We went and built a church as well as put on a couple of vacation bible schools during our ten days there. After this experience, I had the mission bug forever. Since then I have been on three more mission trips, and my love more missions has grown stronger each time. They have had a significant impart on my life, and even became a large factor in my career goal. I want to become a Dentist in order that I may be of more use in the mission field. This summer before leaving to go to Peru, I will be studying to take the dental school admissions test, in hopes that God willing, I can reach that goal.
Now more about my destination and mission. I am going to a little medical clinic that is located just outside of Pucallpa. Amor Projects, as it is called, consists of a small pharmacy, dental clinic, and doctors office or medical clinic. My main job description is to work in the dental clinic and to do little construction projects where needed. However, I am sure that I will spend a lot of time working with the local kids, and doing what ever job that they need.
I am so excited about going to Peru, and I am looking forward to how God will lead over this next year. I have already seen Him working so much in making this become a reality. Thanks again to all of you who have helped to make this possible through your prayers and support. Together we can make a difference.
